Use the Fire Button to clear everything
See the flame icon 🔥 in the browser? Tap it to instantly clear all your tabs, browsing history, and cookies. It’s like a reset button for your browsing session.
DuckDuckGo Browser is built on the same technology as Chrome and Safari. If you can use one, you can use the other. There's no learning curve.
What your browser knows about you
Your browser is the window through which you experience the entire internet — and it collects an enormous amount of data about you. Chrome, for example, is made by Google, a company whose entire business model is built on advertising. Chrome sends data about your browsing habits back to Google, which uses it to build an advertising profile that follows you across the web.
Even when you use “Incognito Mode,” your browser only stops saving your history locally. Your internet service provider, the websites you visit, and Google itself can still see what you’re doing.
What trackers actually do
Almost every website you visit contains invisible tracking scripts from third parties — primarily Google and Facebook. These scripts record which pages you visit, how long you stay, what you click on, and even what you type. This data is sent back to advertising networks, which use it to build detailed profiles and serve you targeted ads.
DuckDuckGo Browser blocks these tracking scripts before they can load. This doesn’t just protect your privacy — it also makes pages load faster and uses less battery on your phone.
Why DuckDuckGo Browser
DuckDuckGo Browser is built specifically for privacy. It blocks third-party trackers by default, enforces HTTPS connections automatically, and grades every website you visit with a privacy score (A through F) so you can see how aggressively you’re being tracked. The Fire Button clears all your data instantly. It’s free, requires no account, and is available on every major platform.
It’s also simply a good browser — fast, clean, and familiar. You won’t feel like you’re giving anything up.
