This site documents our family's journey to a more secure digital footprint and educates others interested in doing the same. There are countless ways to achieve this goal and we have outlined and simplified what worked best for us. We encourage everyone to be informed and feel empowered to take control of their information regardless of technological skills or knowledge.
We confidently represent two different audiences: one speaks HTML and one doesn't know what that even stands for. We both agreed on the end goal but had different capacities for the finer details of getting there or why. It was important to us that, regardless of tech-knowledge or tech-formation, this site was user friendly and helpful to both camps. So, there are two key sections, geek and yogi, within each topic. Those who want a more detailed description, information, and advanced options will find the geek comments helpful. Those who want to tie it down and move on will find the simplified yogi sections helpful.
